How Much Is Too Much?

So check out this pic of what we had for dinner tonight and I will ask the question.

When do you know you have spent too much time on Pinterest?

Could it be when you decide to have Cinnamon Roll Pancakes for dinner?  I was
looking for something different to do with broccoli when I just happened across the
recipe for these and suddenly dinner plans were changed for the "sweeter".  My DS was
thrilled to taste test them for me.

So thrilled he asked for seconds.  He didn't even throw any on the floor.  That's when
you know he really likes something,  It's a good thing he is still so young I don't have to
worry about him coming up to me tomorrow and saying,
"Mom, can we have those yummy Cinnamon Roll Pancakes again?"
With a smile like that who could say no?  And while they were very yummy and I
recommend that everyone try them, I don't think I could handle the sugar rush two nights
in a row.  Maybe next week though?

Relaxing With Some Paper & Ink

We has so much fun at the reunion.  It was so nice to see everyone.  The boys sure loved getting to know Grace & Archer.

They had a blast playing in the pool and as you can see they were very busy and in to everything!

We were all so tired from having to keep up with these busy boys we looked forward to having to drive somewhere so this would happen:

The reunion and auction turned out great.  Thank you to those
who liked my quilt and aprons enough to buy them to support the next reunion.
I hope they enjoy them.
Mitzi bought the quilt.
Kim and Lori bought the aprons.
We had so much fun we were exhausted when we got home but there is no rest for the
weary and off to work for the week we went.  When the sun shined through the haze and
smoke this morning (we have several fires surrounding us right now) I knew it was a good
day to just relax.  What better way to relax then playing with some paper & ink.  I have
seen some cute cards on Pinterest that I've been wanting to make so I picked a few of
them off my board and this is what I made:

This card was inspired by a card from Maile Belles.  I used more muted colors and thought
it turned out nice.

This cute fuzzy critter was copied from mmmcrafts.

Who said it's too early for Christmas?  Just a little something to get you in the mood.
This is what I came up with after seeing a card on Nothing Makes Me Happier .
Making cards does make me very happy.  It's definitely passed time for a "I'm So Crafty"
day with my family and friends.  I'm ready when you are girls!

The "Reunion" Quilt

Just in time, the quilt I've been working on for the family reunion auction is finally done - Yeah!  I don't even have to stay up until 2:00am the night before we leave to finish it.  I really liked how it turned out:

The colored stripes are from the fabric line, Reunion by Sweetwater for Moda.  Perfect for our reunion auction.

So to my family:  Pull out your wallets and get ready to bid.  I just know whoever has the winning bid is going to enjoy wrapping up in the corner of their couch thinking fondly of memories that were made at our reunion.   I have a wonderful family and can't wait to spend time with them.

Christmas Apron

Since the first apron turned out so cute I thought I would make another one for the family
reunion auction that would work as a Christmas gift.

Who wouldn't want a cute apron that say "HO HO HO" at Christmas time?
Then I placed it in the jar:

Doesn't that make it all the more fun?   Now to figure out what recipe I will attach - hmmm!
I also decided to put the first apron in a canister instead of a jar.

I thought the flamingos added to the fun bright colors of the apron.  What fun summer recipe should I attach to this one?

Apron in a Jar

I've been working on a few projects for the auction at our family reunion next week.  I found this cute apron pattern #3752 by Simplicity and decided to try it.  I think it turned out cute - even if my model wouldn't let me post a pic of her face.  Then my model saw this Pin of Apron in a Jar from Jodi at Pleasant Home and the cute apron became this:

Now I just need to pick a yummy recipe and a cute ribbon to attach and hopefully someone at the reunion will find it as cute as do.  Now on to finish my other projects.

My First Quilt

My first official - 100% completed quilt.  I made it for a dear friend's birthday.  I used Hometown by Sweetwater and found the pattern on Moda Bake Shop.  It's called Positively Perfect Nap Quilt by April Rosenthal from Prairie Grass Patterns.

My sweet baby just had to make sure it was snuggle worthy.  He gave it two sticky thumbs up.
